Able Industries

Able Industries Inc. is a sister company to the Sheltered Workshop for the Disabled and has been in existence since 2004. Able Industries was created to facilitate set-a-side contracts and to employ severely handicapped individuals who need more support, and who would benefit from working in a structured program. Through these contracts, Able Industries Inc. seeks to help severely handicapped persons to develop and improve their interpersonal, social, and employment skills, to help enhance their self-esteem, to encourage and increase their self-reliance, and to increase their overall independence.

Able Industries Inc has contracts with the Federal Government, Department of Transportation, and Broome Developmental services; these contracts were obtained with the assistance of NISH (National Industries for the Severely Handicapped) and NYSID (New York State Industries for the Disabled).
